Grief and loneliness were settling in. I had been a widower for sixty days. A snow storm was blowing outside which did not concern me as I had lived in Michigan all my life. I had an art class but upon arrival I learned the class had been canceled. I felt impressed to visit a gal who volunteers there. During our casual conversation the question was posed “What is important in your life?” Jeannette answered, “Jesus Christ is the most important thing in my life.” I had a wood carving class two days later and again met with Jeannette. I said to her “I have been thinking about what you said,” and then I asked if she wanted to go to church with me. I added that it will be on Saturday. Jeannette asked “What kind of church is that?”
Well we went to church together that Sabbath and Jeannette asked me to go to her church the next day. I went and they were preaching on the Resurrection. At this point Jeannette said realized that the Bible said the Jesus rose on the first day of the week, after Sabbath. Jeannette was open to all Bible doctrine that has been shown to her. Jeannette is visually impaired and so I must read everything to her from the Bible. Since joining our church company at Port Sanilac I have driven Jeannette to a Prophecy of Revelation series in Sandusky, Michigan, an hour drive each way. We have also gone through another series of 24 lessons covering Bible doctrine. I asked Jeannette to marry me on her birthday. We both agreed that the purpose of marriage is to uphold and support each other in our worship of the Creator. I was lead to ask a gal to come out of Babylon. She continues to be a sponge for truth. The pleasure has been mine to watch this growth and working of the Holy Spirit.
